Marty the Motorcycling Giraffe Story 50 Marty’s greatest adventure Part 1 Marty’s special plan revealed

Marty the Motorcycling Giraffe

Story 50 Marty’s greatest adventure Part 1 Marty’s special plan revealed.

Marty the motorcycling giraffe has just go back from a really exciting journey to North America where he had lots of exciting adventures I the USA and Canada and met some new and some old friends. But now he has something much more exciting on his mind. Marty has had a special plan for a few weeks now and today is the day he intends to start carrying out this plan.

Marty is feeling very nervous and is getting butterflies just thinking about his special plan

“I hope everything goes as well as I have planned it” thought Marty as he climbed onto his motorcycle ride to the window cleaning yard where he works.

Marty finds it very whiz through the busy streets of Nairobi on his motorcycle and he it wasn’t long before he arrived at the yard.

Peter and Victor were already hard at work, loading all the window cleaning equipment into Peter’s van and getting ready for a hard day work cleaning windows in Nairobi.

“Jambo Peter, jambo Victor” shouted Marty as he climbed off his motorcycle.

Jambo Marty” replied Peter and Victor

“Did you have a good time in America?” asked Peter before adding “I bet you have some great stories to tell, but I wasn’t expecting you back at work until tomorrow”

“I had a wonderful time” replied Marty, “but I’ll need to tell you about it later, I am off to the Masai Mara just now and I have a special plan to put into place”

“You and that special plan, you keep talking about it when are going to tell us what it is”

“That’s is what I have come to tell you, I am off to the Masai Mara now, but will be back at 5 pm, if you two can be here and et Gloria and Emmanuelle here as well I will then tell you what the secret has been”

“That sounds exciting; I’ll make sure we are all here for when you get back”

With that Marty jumped back on his motorcycle shouted “kwahari” to Peter and Victor and was soon whizzing through the streets, out of Nairobi and towards the Masai Mara.

Because Marty goes so fast on his motorcycle it wasn’t long before her arrived at the Masai Mara and soon after he got the spot where his Giraffe friends and family live.

Little Georgina (Marty’s niece) was the first to notice the big cloud of dust that Marty kicked up as he rode his motorcycle through the Masai Mara.

“Look look its uncle Marty” she shouted excitingly

“Oh its as well Marty’s come back from America” shouted Marty’s special friend Gillian with just as much as excitement as Georgina.

“Calm down you two”  said George (Marty’s brother in law and Georgina’s daddy) rather grumpily  “come along lets go and find out what stories of his adventures Marty has to tell us this time”.

Marty pulled up alongside the giraffes, which made Geraldine (Marty’s sister) jump

“Must you drive that Motorcycle so close to me” she scolded and then smiled “welcome back little brother” and gave Marty a big hug.

“Well” said Gary (Marty’s brother) “tell us all about America

“Yes please do” said Gillian, who had the biggest smile on her face as Marty lent over and gave her a big kiss.

For the next hour or so Marty kept the giraffes enthralled with his tails of his adventures in America, with Gillian and Georgina practically excited by his stories.

Marty then said to the others “if you don’t mind I have something very special to discuses with Gillian” and then he asked Gillian to com for a ride on his motorcycle.

Marty and Gillian then ride the motorcycle across the plains of the Masai Mara until they reached the place by a river where they had spent a very romantic time, not that long ago

“Oh Marty! You have brought me to our special place”

“Yes” replied Marty “and I have something very special to talk to you about.”

“I have really missed you when I have been away on my adventure” Marty continued “and I have come to the decision that I would rather have my adventures with you”

Marty then took a wooden box out of his motorcycle top box and bent down on to his front knees an opened the box to reveal a large diamond ring

Marty then looked up at Gillian and asked

“Gillian Je, kuolewa na mimi?”  (Will you marry me?)

“Ooohh Ndiyo, Ndiyo, Ndiyo!!!”  (Yes, yes, yes) shouted Gillian in reply.

Marty then placed the ring around one of Gillian little horns (this is where Giraffes wear their engagement and wedding rings) and gave he a big kiss.

“Lets hurry back to the others I can’t wait to tell them I am going to be a bride” squealed Gillian in delight

Marty and Gillian they got back on Marty’s motorcycle and headed back towards the other giraffes

As soon as they got there Gillian couldn’t contain her excitement and shouted to the other giraffes

“Marty has asked me to marry him, I am going to be a bride, look at my lovely engagement ring!!”

All the giraffes quickly gathered around the happy couple, with George and Gary slapping Marty on the back and telling him “well done” before giving Gillian a kiss and congratulating her.

Geraldine wanted a close look at the ring before giving Gillian a big hug; she then turned to Marty and said with a little tear in her eyes

“Congratulations Marty, this must mean that my little brother is all grown up at last” and then gave him a big kiss on the cheek.

Little Georgina was very excited and kept jumping up and down and asking to be a bridesmaid.

“Of course you will be” smiled Gillian and she gave Georgina a little cuddle

Marty then told the giraffes that and Gillian have to go to Nairobi now to tell his friends there, the good news.

Marty and Gillian then whizzed off to Peter’s yard in Nairobi where Peter, Gloria, Emmanuelle and Victor were waiting for them

“Here they are now” and Peter as Marty and Gillian turned into the yard “I wonder what this big secret is?”

But Gloria screeched “I know I know what the secret is, look at the big diamond ring Gillian has got on”

Gloria then ran to Gillian and they started hugging and chatting excitingly.

“Well” said Peter to Marty “so this is your special plan, you’ve asked Gillian to marry you”

“I sure have” replied Marty with a big smile “and of course I want you to be my best man”

“I will be honoured to be your best man” Peter replied

Victor and Emmanuelle then started to shake Marty’s hoofs and congratulate both Marty and Gillian

And Marty thought to himself that getting married to Gillian could be the greatest adventure of all for

Marty the Motorcycling Giraffe Story 49 Marty’s great North American Adventure Part 3 Marty in Awesome LA

Story 49 Marty’s great North American Adventure Part 3 Marty in Awesome LA

Marty the motorcycling giraffe is on yet another of his great adventures, an exciting trip to North America. After spending some time in Boston, Niagara Falls and Toronto Marty has caught an aeroplane flight to Los Angeles.

Marty stepped off the plane and felt the hot sun on the back of his (very long) neck.

“Ahh the warm Californian sun, that’s how I remember LA from my last trip, I’m looking forward to meeting up with some of my old friends here.” Marty thought to himself.

After booking himself into a hotel Marty headed for a motorcycle hire shop, so that he could get a nice motorcycle to get around on during is stay in Los Angeles.

“I do like riding these American Motorcycles” Marty told the man in the hire shop.

“They are awesome machines” replied the man in the hire shop before telling Marty to “have a nice day”

“Hakuna matata” laughed Marty as he waved and whizzed off on the motorcycle.

The first place Mary headed for was St Columbus primary school, where he had helped out as a stand in flag pole the last time he was in LA

Marty stopped his motorcycle and parked it out side of the school walls and then stretched his neck to look over the wall into the school yard, and there he saw his old friend the janitor sweeping the playground

“Jambo Mr Janitor, habari gani”

“Oh My!” shouted the rather startled Janitor and then he looked up and smiled. “Marty, you’ve come back, all the way from Africa, its good to see you again, do come into the school”

The janitor then opened the school gates for Marty to walk into the school yard.

“Come on Marty, I’ll take you to the principals office he will be delighted to see you again, will you be in LA for long?”

“No not long, just time to visit some old friends, before I have to go back home to Africa

The janitor the knocked on the principals office door and poked his round and said “principal we have a very special visitor” with that Marty bent down and out his head round the door.

“A very special visitor indeed” exclaimed the principal “welcome back to St Columbus, its great to see you again”

“Come down into the main hall Marty, there is something there you might like to see” added the principal.

So Marty followed the principal and the Janitor into the school hall and there on the wall was a large picture of Marty receiving his medal from President Obama, after he saved the day by acting as a flag pole.

“That was a very special day and an exciting adventure” said Marty

“You’ll always be remembered and welcome at St Columbus” said the principal “and I am sure the children would like to see you again too”

“That would be great” replied Marty.

So the janitor made an announcement over the schools audio com system that all the classes were to come down to the school hall immediately.

The children were so delighted and excited to see Marty that it took quite a while for the teachers to get them to be quiet and sit down in the hall

Marty then stayed for a little while talking to the children and telling them all about his adventures and the exciting places he has visited.

When it was time to go Marty said Kwahari to all the children and of course the janitor and the principal before getting back on his motorcycle and heading back into the LA streets

“Goodbye Marty, come back and visit us soon” shouted the Principals as Marty rode off.

Marty knew where he was heading next; he was going to pay a surprise visit to some friends (Brian, Catie and Amy) who had met when he climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania back in Africa.

As Marty pulled up outside of their house Brian and Catie spotted him and came running out to greet him

“Oh my word Marty, what are you doing in LA, its awesome to see you again buddy” shouted Brian
Marty explained that he was coming to the end of his great North American adventure and just had to see them before he headed back to Africa.

“I am going to spend one more day in LA and then I must catch my flight home the day after tomorrow”

“Well that’s great” said Catie “we can arrange a special barbeque party on the beach for you tomorrow evening”

“Now that does sound like fun” replied Marty

Catie then phoned Amy to tell her Marty was visiting and it wasn’t long before Amy came running along the road to join them

The four friends then went for a walk along the beach, talking about their memories of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and other adventures they have had since they last met.

As it was starting to get dark Marty could see a mysterious figure up ahead walking along the beach al dressed in black.

“Who’s that?” asked Marty

“We don’t know her name” replied Amy “but we call her the angel of the dark, because she always comes out for a walk as it starts to get dark and she always wears black”

“How mysterious” thought Marty

Marty was starting to feel tired so the four friends made arrangements to meet on the beach for the barbeque party the next night and Marty set off for his hotel.

After a good nights sleep Marty work up early and had a big plate of twigs and leafs for breakfast and headed off on his motorcycle to explore LA.

First he headed off to Disney land for a few hours where he saw his favourite cartoon characters and went for a ride on some of the fair ground attractions. Marty then visited Venice beach which he remembered from his last visit had a lot of street entertainers.

After he had finished on Venice beach he went to the local shopping malls and spent the last of the money he got when he and his friends found the treasure chest on the island in Lake Turkana, on something very special indeed.

Soon it was time to meet up with Brian, Catie and Amy on the beach for the barbeque party.

When Marty had arrived the barbeque was already lit and his friends had invited some more people along including the janitor and principal from St Columbus primary school, which made Marty very happy.

The barbeque party was awesome and every one was having a good time, when as the sun went down, Marty saw the mysterious angel of the dark walking on the beach.

“Don’t worry about her, the angel of the dark always keeps herself to herself” said Catie.

But then as she clambered over some rocks the mysterious lady slipped and fell down in between two rocks. Everyone at the barbeque party thought this looked very funny and started to chuckle. But their giggles soon turned to expressions of concern when the mysterious angel of the dark didn’t get back up from between the rocks.

Everyone started running along the beach to the rocks where “the mysterious angel of the dark” had fallen.

Because his legs are so long Marty was easily the first to arrive and he looked down to see the mysteriously sitting with her foot caught under a large rock.

“Jambo, habari gani?” asked Marty

This startled the mysterious lady and she shouted “ahhh!! Who are you?” at Marty

By this time the others had caught up and Brian said “its alright this is Marty the motorcycling giraffe, all the way from Africa, he was only asking if you are ok”

“Sorry, you gave me a little scare Marty; I didn’t expect to see a giraffe on a beach in LA. My name is Jo and I am afraid my foot has got stuck under this rock”

Every tried to push the big rock off from Jo’s foot but it was too heavy and it wouldn’t budge.

Marty then stepped forward and said “stand back everyone; I think I can move the rock”

Marty then positioned himself with his front feet on another rock and his hind legs on the rock that Jo was trapped on and with a mighty cry of “Harambee” he pushed as hard as he can with his big strong hind legs an the rock slowly moved off Jo’s foot.

Jo moved her foot out of the way and Marty gently let the rock fall back down to the sandy ground.

“Thank you very much Marty” said Jo as she pulled herself to her feet.

“Hakuna Matata” smiled Marty

Jo then joined the rest of the group at the barbeque party that went on all through the night.

Eventually Marty told everyone that he had to go to take the motorcycle back to the hire shop and catch the aeroplane back home to Africa.

“I have had a great time in North America” Marty told his friends but I have to go as I something very special planned when I get back to Africa

Marty then shouted “kwahari” and jumped on his motorcycle and started to ride away

“Goodbye it’s been great having you here in LA, come back soon” everyone shouted and waved after him”

Marty loved his adventures in North America but he couldn’t wait to get back home to put his special plan into action which he was sure would bring some wonderful adventures for

Marty the Motorcycling Giraffe Story 48 Marty’s great North American adventure Part 2 Marty and Troy the trucking Moose.

Marty the Motorcycling Giraffe

Story 48 Marty’s great North American adventure Part 2 Marty and Troy the trucking Moose.

Marty is having a great adventure in North America, and after spending some time with his friend Andy in Boston, where Marty go to see his first American football match. Marty is now whizzing down the freeway, on a large American motorcycle he has hired, towards the Canadian border.

In Canada Marty wants to see the Niagara Falls and Toronto city before handing back the big America motorcycle and catching an aeroplane to Los Angeles.

Marty was really enjoying his ride towards Canada and it wasn’t long before he could see the sun glistening on the blue surfaces of Lake Ontario and Lake Erie.

“Ahh the great lakes are up ahead” thought Marty “that means it won’t be long before I reach the Canada

Excited by the thought of reaching Canada, Marty pulled back the throttle on his motorcycle and started to speed up towards the lake, when suddenly he heard a loud bang and his back wheel started to skid out of control.

Marty had to hold on tight to the handlebars and use all his motorcycling skills to stop himself from crashing, but he soon brought the motorcycle safely to a halt

Marty climbed off his motorcycle and looked at his back wheel

“On no I have puncture” sighed Marty to himself “and it’s still a long way to the nearest town”.

As he didn’t really know what else to do, Marty started to push the motorcycle along the road towards the great lakes and towards Canada

But with the motorcycle being so very heavy and with the sun beating down on is back it wasn’t long before Marty got very tired and the lakes and the Canadian border did not seem any closer.

Marty thought to himself that he was never going to be able to push the motorcycle al the way to Canada when he heard the sound of a large lorry’s horn and the screech of breaks behind him

Marty turned round to se that a large lorry had stopped behind him an getting out of the cab was a large moose, wearing a cowboy hat, sunglass, blue denims and a checked lumberjack shirt with the sleeves rolled up over his very powerful looking biceps.

“Howdy partner” said the Moose “looks like you’re in a spot of trouble”

“Jambo, my motorcycle has punctured tyre” replied Marty, before introducing himself and explaining that he comes from Africa and is on holiday in North America and is heading towards the Niagara Falls and Toronto.

“Well I never heard of a motorcycling Giraffe before” laughed the Moose and shook Marty’s front hoof and added “My names Troy, Tory the trucking Moose and you’re in luck because I am heading towards Niagara Falls city, where you can get your motorcycle fixed”.

Troy then opened the back of his lorry’s trailer and using all his strength he lifted Marty’s motorcycle and put it into the trailer.

“Wow that is one very strong Moose” thought Marty to himself

“Jump in the passenger seat Marty” said Troy and we will be in Canada in no time.

So Marty climbed into the lorry and off they headed along the freeway to the Canadian border.

Marty and Troy soon became good friends as they chatted as they drove along with Troy telling Marty all about Canada and how he had left the other moose in the Canadian wilderness to move to the big city and become a trucker, and Marty told Troy all about how he left his family in the Masai Mara and moved to the big African city of Nairobi so that he could ride his motorcycle and have lots of adventures.

It wasn’t long before they reached the border.

“Welcome to Canada Mr Giraffe” said the border control officer as he checked Marty’s passport.

Asante sana” replied Marty

Troy then drove the lorry into Niagara Falls city and to a garage.

“This is a very good garage and they will have your motorcycle fixed in no time” Troy assured Marty and then, with his very strong and powerful arms, he lifted Marty’s motorcycle off the back of the lorry and pushed it into the garage.

The man in the garage told Marty that the motorcycle will be fixed and ready by first thing tomorrow morning, so Marty wandered off with Troy to see the exciting sights in and around Niagara Falls city.

Marty and Troy were very hungry, so the went to Troy’s favourite cafĂ© in the city, “the Rainforest CafĂ©”, where Troy ordered a large plate of grass and plants and of course Marty had a big plate of twigs and leafs.

After they had finished their dinner, Troy took Marty to the Clifton hills area of town, where Troy showed Marty around some haunted houses, Marty found this very exciting. Marty then had a good look around the different shops in the area.

“Right Marty” said Troy “enough of the eating and shopping lets go and see the thing you have really come to this City for, the famous Niagara Falls.”

As they got near the falls Marty could hear the thunderous roar of the water flowing over the falls and could see the large mist cloud rising above it.

“This reminds me of the Victoria Falls on the Zambezi River” Marty said to Troy.

“These falls are caused by the Niagara river that flows from Lake Erie into Lake Ontario, going over a large set of cliffs” Troy informed Marty.

Troy then pointed out across the falls and explained to Marty that Niagara Falls is made up of two large water falls

“This one is the Horseshoe Falls and is in Canada and the far one you can see is called the America falls and is across the border in the USA.” Troy told Marty and then exclaimed “come on Marty lets go to the top of the Sky Lon tower, you get a great view from up there”

Marty and Troy then climbed up the stairs to the top of the tower, and Marty saw that Troy, it was a fantastic view across the falls.

As the two friends looked out from the tower the sun started to go down and then all of sudden a whole load of lights were turned on, illuminating the falls in the night sky.

“Wow kwamba ni ajabu”  (Wow that is amazing) shouted Marty

The a whole host of fireworks shot into the sky and exploded to shower the earth with bright sparkling little droplets of light

This made Marty jump and shout “Hiyo ni hata kushangaza zaidi kuliko show mwanga” (that is even more amazing than the light show)

The friends stayed a little longer before Troy set off for home and Marty headed off to his hotel.

The following morning, Marty got up early had a big breakfast of twigs and leafs before going to the garage to pick up his motorcycle. That now has a brand new tyre on the back wheel.

Marty then went to Troy’s house to say kwahari (goodbye) and to thank him for helping him out on the freeway and for showing him around Niagara Falls.

Marty then headed off towards Toronto.

Marty was soon whizzing down the road along side the mighty Lake Ontario that looked beautiful with the reflection of the morning sun glistening on the top of the blue water.

After short while Marty arrived in Toronto, where he had a few hours to look around city before he had to hand in his motorcycle to the hire company and catch an aeroplane to Los Angeles.

In Toronto Marty stood at the bottom of the huge CN tower and looked up in amazement at the sight of the tower disappearing in to the sky.

“Wow, even for a Giraffe that is a tall tower, I wonder how they manage to clean the windows in such a building” thought Marty.

Marty then brought some twigs and leafs from a specialist shop and sat by the pond in the lovely Nathan Phillips Square and ate some lunch while watching the busy people of Toronto go about their business.

Marty had just enough time to visit the Royal Ontario Museum and marvel at the large dinosaur skeletons they have in there.

“Dinosaurs look even more scary than Lions” though Marty.

Soon it was time for Marty to go to the airport to catch his flight to Los Angeles.

Marty loved his visit to Canada and was really pleased he had made a new friend in Troy the trucking moose, but was looking forward to his visit to Los Angeles and to see what adventures could be found there for

Marty the Motorcycling Giraffe.

Marty the motorcycling Giraffe Story 47 Marty’s great North American adventure part 1 Marty and the Birdman of Boston

Marty the motorcycling Giraffe Story 47

Marty’s great North American adventure part 1 Marty and the Birdman of Boston

Today is a very exciting day for Marty the motorcycling Giraffe as today his about to start out on a very exciting adventure to North America

Marty’s friends, Peter, Gloria, Emmanuelle, Victor and of course his special friend Gillian, have all turned up at the airport to wave goodbye to Marty.
“What things are you planning to do on this trip Marty?” asked Victor

“Well first I am going to Boston where I hope to meet up with my friend Andy, who I met in Peru, and then hire a Motorcycle and ride to Canada  to see Niagara Falls and then catch a aeroplane to Los Angeles, where I hope to meet up with some of the friends I met the last time I was in LA and also I have friends there that I met when I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro” replied Marty  and he added “ and of course I hope to have lots of adventures along the way!”

“Ooh that sounds like you’ll be gone for a long time, I’m going to miss you” Said Gillian sadly

“I will miss you too” replied Marty “but I will be back before you know it and when I return I have something very special planned”

“You keep mentioning this special plan Marty, but you never tell anyone what it is” said Peter

“You will all find out in good time” laughed Marty

It was now time for Marty to catch his plane so he said Kwaheri to everyone and gave Gillian a little kiss before making his way to the plane.

“Kwaheri, na safari njema” (Goodbye, have a good trip) they all shouted after him.

It’s a long flight from Kenya to the USA but as Marty managed to fall asleep for most of the flight it didn’t seem long before the plane was landing at Boston’s airport.

Marty was very glad that his friend Andy was there to meet him at the airport

“Hello Marty welcome to the USA, its good to see you again” greeted Andy

“Its good to see you too and I am very excited about being back in America” replied Marty

“Well I have got lots of things planned for your visit, today I am going to show you all around Boston and tomorrow I have got you a ticket to come and see me play American Football for the New England Patriots against the New York Giants”.

“That’s sounds fantastic" said Marty, "I don’t know anything about American football but I am sure it will be very exciting. I remember you telling me your football nickname is the Birdman”

“That’s right” laughed Andy “that’s the nickname our teams supporters have given me”

First they went to Marty’s hotel so that he could book in for the night and unload his luggage (just a rucksack as Marty likes to travel lightly).

“I’m very hungry, they had no twigs and leafs on the dinner menu an the aeroplane” Marty told Andy

“I know just the place to go” replied Andy “Follow me”

So they set off to a river side café on the banks of the River Charles that runs through Boston and down to the ocean.

Marty and Andy sat on outside table to eat their dinner and chatted way catching up on what they each have been up too since they climbed to the lost city of Machu Pichu together.

Marty told Andy about all his adventures and Andy tried to explain the rules of American football to Marty.

After they had finished their dinner Andy took Marty on what is know as the freedom trail, and explained how Boston took a very important role in the USA gaining its independence from England hundreds of years ago.

Marty was very impressed, especially at some of the important buildings like the Old South Meeting House, Old State House, and Paul Revere House, that they visited on the tour.

But it was soon getting quite dark and as Marty was a little tired from all the travelling he told Andy that he was going to go back to his hotel to get some sleep.

Before he went Andy gave Marty ticket for the match the next day and explained that the New England Patriots play in the Gillette stadium which is in Foxborough a few miles away.

“Hakuna matata” said Marty “I will hire a big American motorbike and I will be able to get to the Stadium no problem”

Marty slept well that night and woke up just in time to get some breakfast and head out to Boston to find a motorcycle hire shop.

At the motorcycles hire shop, Marty managed to hire a lovely big American motorcycle and the shop agreed that he could return it  to the shop they own in Toronto in Canada.

“I will enjoy riding this Motorcycle all the way to Canada” said Marty to the man in the hire shop, but today I am going to use it to ride and around Boston and then head off to see the big football match”

“Well you have a nice day” said the hire shop man and Marty got on the motorcycle and whizzed off into Boston’s busy city streets.

Marty spent the morning riding around Boston and getting very used to riding the large American motorcycle and also finding out more about Boston.

But soon it was time for Marty to head off for the Gillette stadium to see the big football match, Marty was feeling very excited about seeing his good friend Andy play in such an important match.

As Marty headed out of Boston city toward Foxborough he noticed that the road up ahead was very congested, in fact the cars and truck were not moving at all.
So Marty weaved his way through the stationary traffic.
A little way up ahead Marty could see someone had got out of his car and was looking at the traffic jam and shaking his head. As Marty got closer he realised it was his friend Andy

Marty pulled up alongside Andy and said

“Jambo Andy, shouldn’t you already be at the stadium”

“Yes “ replied Andy “ my friend Sags was giving me a lift but now it doesn’t look like I will make it in time for kick off, my coach will be furious”
“Hakuna matata” shouted Marty “jump on the back of my motorcycle and I will get you to the stadium in plenty of time”

So Andy jumped on the back of the motorcycle and soon they were whizzing through the traffic towards the stadium.

At the stadium Andy went to get ready for the game and Marty took his seat in the stadium.  The people sitting near the Mary were very surprised as Marty sat down, as they had never seen a Giraffe at a football game before.

The game started and Marty found it very exciting if not a little painful looking as the players kept bashing into each other.

With all his football gear on it was difficult for Marty to tell which one of the players was his friend Andy but luckily he had his nickname “the birdman” written on the back of his jersey.

As the game went on the New York Giants took the lead and looked like winning the game. Near the end of the game Andy’s friend Sags arrived.

“Phew I have just made it in time for the finish” said Sags “whats the score?”

“21-17 to the New York Giants” replied Marty “I don’t think Andy’s team are going to win”

“It’s not over yet” replied Sags

With that Andy managed to break away from the pack of New York Giant’s players and one of the New England Patriots team threw the ball very high and very long to where Andy was running.

Andy jumped up and caught the ball and kept on running to take him over the “touch down line”

All the crowd were jumping up and down shouting Andy’s nick name “Birdman, Birdman, Birdman” over and over again.

With that a loud hooter was sounded.

“That means the game has finished and the Patriots have won, and Andy scored the winning touchdown” Sags Told Marty

“Hooray for the Birdman” shouted Marty.

After the game Andy introduced Marty to all the Patriots’ players and gave him an American football signed by all the team.

“Oh asante sana this is a lovely gift” said Marty and then added “but now I have to say kwaheri, as it is time for me to go, I have a long ride ahead of me to Canada”

“Well it’s been great to see you again” said Andy “I hope you enjoy the rest of your time in America.”

With that Marty jumped on his motorcycle and headed out on the road to Canada.

Marty liked visiting Boston and was pleased to meet his old friend Andy and thought the football match was very exciting but now he couldn’t help wondering what sort of adventure could be found in Canada for

Marty the Motorcycling giraffe.
